Environmental Testing, Inc. has the technical knowledge and experience to assist owners and managers of facilities containing storage tanks to comply with Federal, State, and local regulation. Underground storage tanks must be upgraded, retrofitted, or removed by December 22, 1998 to comply with EPA regulations designed to prevent or control leaks. Above ground storage tanks must comply with both the State Fire Marshal requirements and Department of Natural Resources environmental regulations.
Project Management services provided by ETI include designing project specifications, assistance in bidding requirements, contractor selection, soil sampling and analysis, contractor over-site, and final documentation and reporting. Project Management services are useful for:
Tank inventory and management plans
Underground storage tank removals
Underground storage tank installations
Underground storage tank retrofits and upgrades for corrosion protection, leak detection, overfill protection, spill protection, and vapor recovery.
Above ground storage tank installations
ETI has demonstrated expertise with both the State Fire Marshal’s Regulations and DNREC Regulations for tank management projects.
Hydrogeological Investigations are provided by ETI for sites found to be contaminated by leaking storage tanks, pumps, or plumbing. ETI has a Professional Geologist who is able to sample soils and with the appropriate analysis determine the extent of the contamination. Site conditions and levels of contaminants result in recommendations for remedial solutions to minimize the damage and recommendations for design or operational changes to minimize reoccurrence.
